Because the Premier Demand Drain (PDD) combines the best features of float type drains and timer-operated solenoid drains, it accurately detects and removes accumulations of condensation from compressed air systems on demand without wasting air or clogging. In the PDD a stainless
steel magnetic float rides the surface of the condensate which
collects in a see-through reservoir. The float rises with the
condensate until it activates the upper-level reed switch. The
switch opens a unique, clog-proof valve which stays open until
the condensate level drops activating the lower-level reed switch
which closes the valve before any air is lost. Lights indicate when the drain is receiving power and when the float switch has activated the valve. |
